Hawks Take Two Against Eagles

Palatine, IL: The Hawks bounced back with a strong showing on the road, sweeping Illinois Valley in a low-scoring doubleheader with wins of 3-1 and 3-2.

In game one, Zach Zalewski continued his strong season on the mound, earning his fifth win by pitching a complete game and allowing just one run over seven innings. At the plate, Michael Mango drove in two of the Hawks' three runs, while Spencer Geake added another RBI to help secure the victory.

Game two followed a similar script, with Geake taking the mound and delivering five solid innings to earn the win. David Essien came on in relief to lock down the save. Offensively, Dominic Jacoby and Nick Drtina each doubled, with Jacoby driving in two crucial runs to lead the Hawks to the narrow win.

Harper's pitching and timely hitting helped them snap a losing streak and build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
