Hawks Battle Hard but Fall Short Against #12 Wolfpack

Madison, WI: The Hawks put up a gritty fight against the nationally ranked Madison Wolfpack on Friday but ultimately dropped both games of the doubleheader by razor-thin margins, falling 3-1 in game one and 3-2 in extra innings in game two.

In the opener, Ethan Dorka turned in another solid start, going six innings and keeping the Hawks in the game. However, the offense was quiet, managing just four singles. Michael Mango provided the lone RBI for Harper.

Game two was a nail-biter, with the Hawks pushing the Wolfpack to extras. Dominic Jacoby and Nick Drtina combined on the mound to limit Madison's offense, while Spencer Geake and Cameron King each doubled to give the Hawks scoring chances. Despite the effort, the Wolfpack edged out the win.
