Hawks Fall to Jefferson College 7–4

St. Louis, MO: The Hawks baseball team came out strong but couldn't hold the lead Monday afternoon, falling 7–4 to the Jefferson College Vikings. The Hawks struck first with two runs in the opening inning but were unable to slow down the Vikings' steady offense down the stretch.

Harper took an early 2–0 lead in the first before Jefferson chipped away, scoring single runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to move in front. The Hawks regained the lead with a two-run sixth, but Jefferson responded immediately, plating four runs in the bottom of the frame to pull ahead for good.

Aidan Nohava drove in three of Harper's four runs, continuing his hot start to the season, while Will Hickey added a stolen base. On the mound, Logan Sarna took the loss after battling through six innings against a tough Jefferson lineup.

The Hawks will look to bounce back as they continue their early-season stretch against strong competition.
