Hawks Struggle in Heavy Loss to Kansas City

St. Louis, MO: The Hawks baseball team ran into a tough NJCAA Division I, Region 6 opponent on Thursday, falling 21–0 to the Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devils. The loss capped a challenging stretch of games for the Hawks as they continued their early-season slate against top-level competition.

The Blue Devils' offense struck early and often, stringing together big innings to build a commanding lead that Harper couldn't overcome. The Hawks were held in check at the plate throughout the game, as Kansas City's pitching staff limited scoring chances and kept Harper from finding momentum.

Despite the lopsided result, the matchup provided valuable experience for the Hawks' young roster against one of the stronger programs in the region. Harper will look to reset and regroup heading into the next phase of its non-conference schedule.
