Hawks Drop Doubleheader to Bryant & Stratton

Wauwatosa, WI: The Hawks came up short in a doubleheader against Bryant & Stratton, falling 9-4 in game one and 16-0 in five innings in game two.

In the opener, the Hawks found some offensive rhythm, with Julianna Gonzalez, Whitney Schnack, and Taylor Nicholson each driving in a run. Gabi Phillis and McKenzie Matzl provided extra-base production with a pair of doubles, helping Harper stay competitive through much of the game. However, Bryant & Stratton pulled away late to secure the win.

Game two proved more challenging, as the Hawks were unable to generate offense against a strong Bobcats pitching performance while their lineup found its stride early. The contest ended in five innings.

Harper will look to bounce back quickly as they turn their attention to their next matchup against Kankakee tomorrow.
