PALATINE, IL-  The #1 ranked Harper College men's cross country team competed in the Region IV Championship race in Lake County on Saturday.  In the field of 8 teams, the Hawks took first place.

Michael Sisko (/Harvest Christian-Elgin) was the Hawks' top finisher, taking 7th overall but 1st for all JUCO participants.  The next 4 Harper runners to score all finished in the top-12.  Jacob Melgosa (/Jacobs) was behind Sisko and took 8th place with a time of 27:42.  Jeff Glatz (/Lake Zurich) (27:44, 9th place), Jack Casey (/Barrington) (27:47, 10th place), and Glen Garino (/Maine South) (27:58, 12th place) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks.

Sisko, Melgosa, Glatz, and Casey earned All-Region honors with their finishes.

The next event for the Hawks will be the National Championship race on November 3 in Holyoke, MA.
