MXC Finish 4th Among Strong NCAA Schools

Mequon, WI: The cross country teams traveled north to Concordia WI for the Ken Weidt Classic. The men ran strong and were able to finish fourth in a field with nationally ranked NCAA DIII La Crosse.

This was the first time the Hawks have ventured to the Ken Weidt Classic and the course was new to the coaches and athletes. The day slowly heated up and affected the times accordingly - no personal bests were set despite strong performances throughout.

Owen Whelan and Connor Ariunbat went 1-2 for the Hawks for the second meet in a row finishing 39th and 48th.

Jason Schmidt made his debut finishing 52nd with Konrad Jakubowski and Jerome Graessle rounding out the scoring in 64th and 67th.

Alternate scorers for the meet were
Michael Johnson and Dakota White in 74th and 90th. Jose Morales and Edwin Amaro also raced finishing in 94th and 106th.

The Hawks will race again Friday at the Lansing Invitational in Michigan.
