Hawks Reverse Sweep Mustangs

Palatine, IL: The Hawks Valorant team remained undefeated after a hard-fought reverse sweep against the Morningside Mustangs. The Hawks dropped their first game of the spring season, falling 13-10 in Game 1, but responded with a strong 13-9 win in Game 2 before closing out the series with a dominant 13-1 statement victory.

"It was a phenomenal series to watch, and the team really made this an interesting one," said
Coach Don Curley. "Dropping Game 1 10-13 only to reverse sweep with the final match being 13-1 was something nobody expected."

Patrick Olechno, known as "Sloth," once again proved why he's one of the top players in the league. His performances were nothing short of stellar, posting 33, 34, and 30 kills in each match, further cementing his place as the league's kill leader with 267—30 more than his closest competitor. His 2.6 KDA speaks to his efficiency and consistency.

"Sloth is calm, collected, and most importantly… he doesn't miss,"
Coach Curley praised. Given the Hawks' dominance and frequent sweeps, Olechno's kill totals are even more impressive as he often doesn't get the chance to play a third game in most series.

Faris Khan ("DarkZ") subbed in for Game 3, providing the team with a needed mental reset before their commanding final performance.

Now sitting at 4-0, the Hawks turn their attention to next week's matchup against Grand View as they look to extend their unbeaten streak.
