Pocica Named NJCAA DIII Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

Palatine, IL: Hawks sophomore Natalia Pocica (Crystal Lake South High School) has been recognized as the NJCAA DIII Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Sept. 17–24.

Pocica earned the honor after running 26:37 for 6k at the Midwest Classic, hosted by Olivet Nazarene University at Aspen Ridge Golf Course. Her performance placed her 42nd overall in a highly competitive field and made her the second overall junior college finisher in the race.

The returning All-American has shown consistency throughout the early season, posting three straight efforts in the mid-26s for 6k (26:45, 26:25, 26:37). Pocica continues to be a steady force for the Hawks as they prepare for October competition.
