Pocica and Ledinsky Open Season at St. James Farm

Warrenville, IL: The Hawks women's cross country team opened their 2025 season at the NCC XC Invitational on Friday at St. James Farm.

The Hawks, who captured back-to-back national championships in 2022 and 2023 and finished as national runners-up in 2024, entered this fall with just two runners on the roster. Despite the smaller squad, both competitors showed grit in their season debuts.

Returning All-American
Natalia Pocica led Harper with a time of 26:45 in the 6k race, setting a strong tone for her sophomore campaign. Kasey Ledinsky, a key member of the Hawks' 2023 national championship team who placed 19th at last year's NJCAA national meet, crossed the line in 28:15 to complete her first race of the season.

Though the Hawks are no longer fielding a full team, the presence of
Pocica and Ledinsky keeps Harper represented on the national stage. Both will look to build on their early-season performances as they chase individual success throughout the fall.

The Hawks return to action on Saturday, September 13th, at the Ken Weidt Classic, hosted by Concordia University-Wisconsin.
