The Harper College women's basketball team fell behind in the first half and was never able to recover in a 64-22 defeat to Oakton Community College (6-1) on Thursday night in Palatine.
 
The Hawks (0-4) trailed 29-10 at half in the final game of their two-game homestand.  Mitshi Ishioka (Carlsbad, Calif., Carlsbad) scored eight of Harper's 10 points in the first half and finished with a team-high 14 points.  Sancha Ogden (Hanover Park, Ill., Hoffman Estates) added four points for the Hawks while Jimielle Brown (Hoffman Estates, Ill., Elgin) and Danielle Hutton (Arlington Heights, Ill., Palatine) each had two points.
 
Harper has the weekend off before returning to action on Tuesday in Cicero, Ill. to take on Morton College (3-1).  Tipoff is slated for 5:00 PM.
