Harper Women's Basketball Earns Three NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Palatine, IL: The Harper women's basketball team continued to excel in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, earning three NJCAA All-Academic selections while five Hawks received Region 4 All-Academic recognition in both the fall and spring semesters.

The NJCAA All-Academic Teams recognize student-athletes who complete at least 24 credit hours during the academic year while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.60 or higher. First Team honors are awarded to student-athletes with a perfect 4.00 GPA, Second Team recognizes GPAs between 3.80 and 3.99, and Third Team honors are awarded to those with GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79.

Gabriella Swanson was named to the NJCAA All-Academic Second Team, while Nejira Duratovic and Zariela Myles earned NJCAA All-Academic Third Team recognition.

Region 4 All-Academic honors are awarded to student-athletes who successfully complete at least 12 credit hours during a semester while maintaining a GPA of 3.00 or higher.

Harper had five student-athletes recognized as Fall Region 4 All-Academic selections: Swanson, Duratovic, Myles, Ali Pierre, and Alyson Sankey.

The same five Hawks repeated the achievement during the spring semester, with Swanson, Duratovic, Myles, Pierre, and Sankey each earning Spring Region 4 All-Academic recognition.

The Hawks' academic achievements reflect the program's commitment to excellence both on the court and in the classroom, with student-athletes earning recognition at the regional and national levels throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
