Harper Unable to Overcome Turnovers in Loss at McHenry

Kyler Market scored a team-high 22 points on Thursday.
PALATINE, Ill. -  Kyler Market (Lombard, Ill., Willowbrook) led the Harper College men's basketball team with 22 points but it wasn't enough as the Hawks lost to host McHenry County College 79-63 on Thursday night.

Harper (5-3) committed 24 turnovers against the Scots (5-3) and shot 40% from the field to snap their brief two-game losing streak.  The Hawks struggled from the foul line, making only eight of their 18 free throws.

Market shot 10-17 and pulled down 13 rebounds, seven of which were on the offensive glass.  Connor Miklasz (Mt. Prospect, Ill., Hersey) made three of the team's five three-pointers on his way to 14 points while also handing out three assists.  Jordan Mack (Hillside, Ill., St. Joseph) chipped in 11 points and three steals.

The Hawks return to the court on Tuesday as the team hosts Olivet Nazarene JV.  Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
