Harper Drops Road Contest at Joliet

JOLIET, Ill. – It was a tale of two halves for the Harper College men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon.  Down just three points at halftime, the Hawks were unable to keep pace with Joliet Junior College in the second half of a 86-65 loss.
 
Horace Grant, Jr. (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) scored 18 points to lead the way for Harper (8-18, 2-8 N4C).  Shonnon Barfield (Posen, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) added 14 while Jordan Mack (Hillside, Ill./St. Joseph) chipped in with ten.
 
The second place Wolves (18-7, 7-3) took a 29-26 lead into intermission before outscoring the Hawks 57-39 after the break.
 
Harper returns to action on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM home game against Wilbur Wright College (17-7, 6-3).  The Hawks will be looking to avenge a 55-54 loss on Jan. 21.
