Harper Women Record Ninth Victory of Season

MILWAUKEE, Wis.Monica Hinderer (Arlington Heights, Ill., The Willows Academy) and Rachel Payne (Wheeling, Ill., Schaumburg Christian Academy) combined for 47 points to help the Harper College women's basketball team to a 67-59 victory over Milwaukee Area Technical College.
 
Hinderer finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season.  Payne tallied seven rebounds and five assists while making her living at the foul line, where she knocked down 10 of her 13 attempts to finish with 20 points.  Sancha Ogden (Hanover Park, Ill., Hoffman Estates) hauled in a career-high 16 rebounds, eight of which came on the offensive end, as the Hawks led 36-32 at halftime.
 
Harper (9-12, 4-8 N4C), who also got 12 points from Jayna Rowland (Arlington Heights, Ill., Christian Liberty Academy), won the all-important turnover battle.  The team committed 22 turnovers compared with 31 of Milwaukee.

Harper will close out the regular season with two home games as they take on Triton on Wednesday and finish with Madison on Saturday.
