Box Score ELGIN, Ill. – The Harper College men's basketball team dug itself into a 42-21 hole at halftime against host Elgin Community College and ended up losing 72-56.
Admir Suljic (Chicago, Ill. /Lane Tech) led the Hawks (3-6) with a game-high 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting. Robert Hudson (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Conant) scored 14 points, and Davion Benton (Chicago, Ill. /Alcott College Prep) scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
For the Spartans (7-3), Matt Chaltin led the way with 15 points, and John Moss and Zack Harris each scored 11.
Harper struggled to make shots consistently, shooting just 35.5 percent (22-of-62) from the floor and 25.9 percent (7-of-27) from 3-point land. Elgin shot 49.1 percent (27-of-55) from the field and 43.8 percent (7-of-16) from 3-point land.
The Hawks have an eight-day break from games before traveling to Olivet Nazarene University on Thursday, Dec. 4 for a 7 PM tip.
