Box Score 2 PALATINE, Ill. – The Harper College women's basketball team won a pair of road games on Thursday and Saturday. The Hawks (2-1) defeated College of Lake County 59-52 on Thursday night and topped Richard J. Daley College 62-54 on Saturday afternoon.

Joslyn Nicholson (/Cary-Grove) led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds. Nastia Salsaa added 14 points, and
Ashonte Sims (/Normal Community West) contributed 11 points and eight rebounds. Point guard
Kim Herzog (/Buffalo Grove) played a strong game with nine points and a game-high seven assists, and
Lane Winkler (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows) chipped in seven points and nine rebounds.
The Hawks struggled to score in the first half and trailed 23-21 at the break. However, the Harper offense got going in the second half and outscored the Lancers 38-29 en route to victory.

Nastia Solsaa (/Menomonie )'s pair of free throws with 5:01 remaining tied the game at 47-47, and on the next two possessions she gave the Hawks the lead with a layup and a 3-pointer.
Lane Winkler (Arlington Heights, Ill./Rolling Meadows) (eight points) helped extend the lead to 54-47 with 3:50 left on a layup, capping off an incredible 20-1 run for Harper. The Hawks held on for the win in the closing minutes.
Joslyn Nicholson (/Cary-Grove) put up an incredible stat line, scoring a game-high 29 points (12-of-24 shooting) and grabbing 16 rebounds.
Kim Herzog (/Buffalo Grove) scored 10 points and dished out eight assists.
