Box Score MOUNT PLEASANT, MI. – The Harper College men's basketball team staged a second half comeback at Mid Michigan Community College on Saturday afternoon, but it wasn't quite enough in the end. The Hawks lost 77-75 to the Herons.
Harper (7-8) got a career-high 40 points from forward Admir Suljic (Chicago, Ill. /Lane Tech) in the loss. Suljic went 13-of-22 from the floor, 6-of-11 from 3-point territory, and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. He also grabbed five rebounds and had three steals.
Davion Benton (Chicago, Ill. /Alcott College Prep) also played a solid game with a double-double of 19 points (7-of-11 shooting) and 12 rebounds. Robert Hudson (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Conant) scored seven points.
The Hawks shot 46.2 percent (24-of-52) from the floor while the Herons (4-8) shot 46.8 percent (29-of-62).
Harper is off for the rest of 2014 before playing its next game on Saturday, January 3, 2015, a rematch against Mid Michigan Community College. Tipoff is set for 3 PM inside the Wellness & Sports Center (Building M).
