Box Score BOURBONNAISS, Ill. – The Harper College men's basketball team had too much firepower on Thursday night against the Olivet Nazarene University JV team. The Hawks (4-6) buried a season-high 13 3-pointers and notched their season-high in points in a 90-81 victory.
Admir Suljic (Chicago, Ill. /Lane Tech) poured in a career-high 35 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including seven 3-pointers. Suljic also grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out six assists, and blocked three shots. Davion Benton (Chicago, Ill. /Alcott College Prep) totaled 16 points, nine rebounds, and six steals in the win.
Guards Jamal Sherman (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) and Jalon Roundy (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) also scored in double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively. Marcus Gatlin (Chicago, Ill./Curie) added nine points and five assists, and Isaiah Parks (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) chipped in six points.
Harper trailed 45-41 at halftime. The Hawks shot 47.7 percent (31-of-65) from the floor and an impressive 56.5 percent (13-of-23) from 3-point land.
Harper plays its next game on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Oakton Community College. Tipoff is slated for 7 PM.
