RIVER GROVE, Ill. – The Harper College women's basketball team lost 62-59 on the road at Triton College on Saturday afternoon.

Kim Herzog (/Buffalo Grove) led the Hawks (6-11, 0-2 N4C) with a game-high 20 points and five steals. Joslyn Nicholson (/Cary-Grove) posted a double-double of 18 points and 19 rebounds, and Ashonte Sims (/Normal Community West) added 12 points and eight rebounds. Candace Madison led the Trojans (2-16, 1-1 N4C) with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Triton led 33-28 at the half and shot 35.4 percent (23-of-65) for the game. Harper shot 32.3 percent (21-of-65) from the field and 62.5 percent (15-of-24) from the free throw line. The Trojans struggled at the foul line, making only 9-of-24 attempts (37.5 percent).

The Hawks play their first home conference game of the 2014-15 season on Wednesday as they host the Wilbur Wright College Rams (4-11, 0-2 N4C). Tipoff is set for 5 PM inside the Wellness & Sports Center.
