Hawks’ Offense Struggles at Joliet

JOLIET, Ill. – Leading 20-18 at halftime at ninth-ranked Joliet Junior College, the Harper College women's basketball team went into an offensive funk in the second half. The Hawks managed just 11 points after halftime in a 50-31 loss to the Wolves.

Joslyn Nicholson (/Cary-Grove) paced the Hawks (7-13, 1-4 N4C) with 19 points and nine rebounds. Ashonte Sims (/Normal Community West) managed five points and eight rebounds. Harper shot just 25 percent (13-of-52) from the field.

Joliet (15-6, 4-1 N4C) was led by Le'royia Campbell with 14 points and nine rebounds. Hillary Dietahin added eight points and eight rebounds. The Wolves shot 36.2 percent (21-of-58) from the floor.

The Hawks are back at home on Saturday for a game against Milwaukee Area Technical College (14-6, 4-1 N4C). Tipoff is set for 1 PM inside the Wellness & Sports Center.
