Turnovers Plague Hawks in Loss

PALATINE, Ill. –
The Harper College women's basketball team committed a season-high 34 turnovers in a 65-45 loss to visiting Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday afternoon.

The Hawks (7-14, 1-5 N4C) committed 21 of those turnovers in the first half and fell behind 36-19 at halftime.  The Stormers (15-6, 5-1 N4C) came out strong in the second half and extended the lead to 55-26 with 10:12 to play in the game.

Joslyn Nicholson (/Cary-Grove) led the way for Harper with 22 points and eight rebounds, and Ashonte Sims (/Normal Community West) reached double figures with 12 points. Trisha Patton (14 points), Kiara Hallberg (11 points) and Briana Mckinney (10 points) each scored in double figures for Milwaukee.

The Hawks are back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Madison College (12-5, 4-2 N4C) on Wednesday night for a 5:30 PM tip.
