PALATINE, Ill. – The night of Wednesday, Feb. 4 will be a special night for Harper College athletics. The women's and men's basketball teams both host Triton College that night, and the men's team will welcome seven-year-old Kadeen Alansari as an honorary team member through Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. Finally, the games will be broadcasted live on the radio for the first time ever by the Arena Sports Network.
Kadeen was an honorary team member with the Hawks last season. Friends of Jaclyn is a non-profit organization that states their mission as,"Our mission is to improve the quality of life for children and their families who are battling pediatric brain tumors and to raise awareness about this insidious disease."
Kadeen will meet the Harper College men's basketball team prior to their 7 PM tip against Triton College. He'll also be introduced as a starter for the Hawks.
Friends of Jaclyn will be accepting donations at the door to help continue their mission of improving the quality of life of children battling pediatric brain tumors.
In addition to this, both the women's and men's games against Triton will be broadcasted live on the radio by the Arena Sports Network with ASN Chicago headlining the coverage. A "Listen Live" link will be available on harperhawks.net on the day of the games.
