ELMHURST, Ill. – The Harper College women's basketball team had its highest offensive output on Tuesday evening against the Elmhurst College JV team. However, it wasn't enough as the Hawks lost 79-72 in the final game of their four-game road trip.

Harper (1-5) and Elmhurst were tied 21-21 after one period before Jackie Stroud (Norridge, Ill. /Ridgewood) came to life on the offensive end. She scored 12 of her team-high 21 points in the second quarter to give the Hawks a 38-31 edge at halftime. The BlueJays cut the deficit to 52-48 through three quarters and outscored the Hawks 31-20 in the fourth quarter.

Lexi Zades (/Conant) scored a career-high 17 points in a losing effort. Tamara Zivak (/Barrington) and Kim Herzog (/Buffalo Grove) each had 10 points.

Following Thanksgiving break, Harper returns to the Wellness & Sports Center on Tuesday, Dec. 1 for a 5 PM game against Moraine Valley Community College (4-2).
