Hawks Hosting POTS Awareness Match

PALATINE, IL-  The Harper College volleyball team is hosting Millikin University on Friday, but it will be more than just a match.  The Hawks and the Big Blue will be teaming up to raise awareness for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).

POTS is a disorder that causes your blood to remain in the lower half of your body, which in turn, raises your heart rate to get the blood to continue to flow upwards.  Symptoms of POTS include extreme tiredness, sweating, nausea, and fainting.

In order to raise awareness and support, the Hawks are asking that everyone in attendance wears teal.  They will also be accepting optional donations.  The match is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
