Hawks Return Experienced Core for 2026 Season

Palatine, IL: The Harper Hawks women's volleyball program enters the 2026 season with momentum, experience, and a renewed sense of purpose after a 33-14 campaign in 2025. The Hawks came within one match of advancing to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, falling to Madison in the District A Championship. With 10 players returning from last season's squad, Harper will look to build on that success and take the next step toward a national tournament appearance.

Leading the Hawks into the new season is a familiar face in first-year head coach Jill Hoffman. A Harper alum, Hoffman competed in volleyball, softball, and water polo during her time as a student-athlete. She will be joined on the coaching staff by assistant coaches Dan Starkey and Rebecca Starkey, who are both entering their first seasons with the program.

The Hawks return a strong group of 10 sophomores, including Selin Hurdogan, Ceylin Ertekin, Ali Pierre, Jocelyn Erling, Raegan Frappier, Destiny Parsons, Kylie Chojnowski, Jada Hoyt, Ziya Cooks, and Ana Kadolph. The group represents a wide range of positions, from Hurdogan at libero and Ertekin as a defensive specialist to returning offensive weapons including Erling, Pierre, Frappier, Parsons, Chojnowski, Hoyt, Cooks, and Kadolph.

Several of those returners were major contributors during Harper's 2025 run. The return of much of the team's offensive and defensive core gives Hoffman an experienced group to build around in her first season.

Harper will also welcome six newcomers to the roster: Freja Brask, Michela Anelli, Lindsey Rossnagel, Georgina Radovanovic, Zoey Bending, and Malika Sultanova. The incoming class adds size, positional depth, and new perspectives to a roster that already has significant collegiate experience. Brask enters at 6-foot, while Bending is listed at 5-foot-11 and Radovanovic, Rossnagel, Anelli, and Sultanova bring additional depth to the roster.

With 10 returning players, six newcomers, and a new coaching staff led by a Harper alum, the 2026 Hawks enter the season with a blend of continuity and change. After coming so close to a national tournament berth a year ago, Harper will look to turn that experience into another successful season and make another push toward the NJCAA Division II national stage.
