Hawks Sweep DuPage in Home Opener

Palatine, IL: The Harper Hawks opened their home schedule in impressive fashion, sweeping Region 4 rival College of DuPage in three sets, 25-20, 25-20, 25-22. The Hawks received a balanced offensive effort led by Jocelyn Erling, who recorded 12 kills and 10 assists, while five other Harper players contributed at least three kills, paced by Destiny Parsons' six.

Defensively, Ceylin Ertekin anchored the Hawks with 15 digs, while newcomer Zoey Bending made her presence felt at the net with seven block assists. Harper also controlled the match from the service line, with Erling and Ertekin combining for seven aces. The Hawks committed just four service errors, with Ertekin and Lindsey Rossnagel each going a perfect 14-for-14 from the service line.

The victory gives Harper an important early Region 4 win and a strong start to its home schedule.
