Erling Commits to UW-Whitewater to Continue Academic and Volleyball Careers

Palatine, IL: Harper College sophomore volleyball standout Jocelyn Erling has committed to continue her academic and athletic careers at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she will continue playing volleyball while pursuing her accounting degree.

The Huntley, Illinois, native has established herself as one of the premier players in the Harper volleyball program during her first season with the Hawks. Erling entered her sophomore season after a standout freshman campaign in which she started 43 of Harper's 46 matches and competed in 163 sets, recording 528 kills, 61 assists, 384 digs, 40 blocks and 10 block assists.

Erling's success has extended beyond the volleyball court. She was named a Region 4 All-Academic athlete in both semesters during the 2025-26 academic year, demonstrating the same commitment to excellence in the classroom that she has shown on the court.

Academically, Erling plans to continue pursuing accounting, with her Harper bio listing her future major as accounting and her goal of becoming an accountant. She also expressed a desire to continue competing after Harper, a goal that will become a reality at UW-Whitewater.

The opportunity will allow Erling to continue her volleyball career at the NCAA Division III level with the Warhawks. UW-Whitewater enters the 2026 season following a 26-8 campaign and is ranked No. 16 in the AVCA preseason poll. The Warhawks are projected to finish third in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Erling's commitment represents another step in a successful Harper career and provides an opportunity to continue the combination of academics and athletics that has defined her time as a Hawk.
