Box Score PALATINE, IL- The 3-seed Harper College volleyball team swept the 6-seed Milwaukee Area Technical College Stormers in the Region IV Quarterfinals on Wednesday. The win keeps the Hawks' 11-year winning streak intact for the Hawks over the Stormers, and also puts them in the Region IV Semifinal match against 2-seed Madison College.
The match was devoid of suspense as the Hawks made quick work of the Stormers in straight sets. Harper won 25-10, 25-11 and 25-12. Match leaders were
Ashley Rothenberg (Streamwood/Streamwood) (7 kills), Rothenberg and
Kathleen Gueco (Hanover Park/Hoffman Estates) (2 aces), Rothenberg (2 blocks),
Karolina Sas (Palatine/Fremd) (10 digs), and
Kayla Agoranos (Hampshire/Hampshire)Â (21 assists).

Karolina Sas (Palatine/Fremd) was named 1st-Team All-Conference and 1st-Team All-Region,
Gabby Fugle (Island Lake/Wauconda) and
Abby Wemple (Johnsburg/Johnsburg) each earned 2nd-Team All-Conference and 2nd-Team All-Region, while
Kayla Agoranos (Hampshire/Hampshire) garnered 2nd-Team All-Conference honors.
Harper's season will continue on Saturday when they are visitors on their home court. Madison College will "host" the Hawks in the Region IV Semifinal at noon. The winner of that match will play in the Region IV Finals right after at 3pm.
