Box Score Palatine, IL- The Harper College women's basketball team hosted Triton College in Arlington Heights on Thursday night and fell to the Trojans 76-40.Â
  Slow start by both teams which would lead to the Trojans starting with a 5-0 lead until the Hawks finally scored three and a half minutes into the game by
Ashley Shapiro. A flawed first quarter with turnovers and missed shots led the Hawks to only scoring four points in the quarter. At the end of the first quarter, Hawks were down 15-4 on 2-15 shooting from the field. After trading baskets with the Trojans for the first five minutes of the second quarter, Hawks would go cold again. Hawks would finish the half shooting 10-32 from the field.
  As the third quarter progressed, the Hawks would come within 11 but the Trojans would pull away and extend the lead to 22. The Trojans finished the quarter with a 10-0 run. The fourth quarter was all Trojans. Hawks only made one basket from the field to go along with three free throws which totaled five points for the quarter. It was a rough game from start to finish.Â

Kaela Drum leading the Hawks with 12 points, Ashley Shapiro grabbing eight rebounds, and
Angelina Villasin and
Abbey Sloan dishing out three assists each.
    The Hawks record drops to 4-7 in conference and 7-18 overall. Next up for the Hawks is a trip to Madison on Saturday to take on the WolfPack. In their first meeting on January 17th, the WolfPack came out on top, 76-56.
