This NJCAA Region IV match went Harper's way right from the start.Â
In the first set, after ties of 1-1, 3-3 and 4-4… Harper took an 11-4 lead behind
Kayla Agoranos' (/Hampshire H.S.) 7 serves in a row. Harper extended the lead to 18-6, and then a 25-9 win. Harper had their way in this set with only 1 hitting error, but 9 kills.Â
Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) had 9 assists and 5 digs.Â
Jules Carusiello (/Hersey H.S.) and
Amelia Reiter (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) each had 4 digs.Â
Kayla Agoranos (/Hampshire H.S.) was 8-8 serving with an ace.Â

Ashley Rothenberg (/Streamwood H.S.) was 4-4 serving with 2 aces.
In the second set, more of the same… Harper led 4-0 and then 10-2, extended the lead to 22-8 and a 25-11 win. Rugile had 5 kills on 6 swings and
Rachel Kandefer (/Elk Grove H.S.) had 4 kills on 6 swings.Â
Natalie Asa (/Schaumburg H.S.) played again and had 3 kills on 5 swings. That was nice to see.Â
Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) had 12 assists.Â
Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) was 7-7 serving with 2 aces.Â
Rachel Kandefer (/Elk Grove H.S.) was 5-5 serving.
In the third set, Elgin did a great job almost wining this set. There were several ties in this set… 1-1, 2-2, 3-3… Harper fell behind 4-9, but fought back to 9-11 before tying the score at 12-12, 15-15 and 17-17. Harper fell behind again to 18-10, and 20-22, but tied the score at 22-22 and 23-23. Harper's 24
th point came on a solid block, and the last point when Elgin hit it out of bounds for a Harper 25-23 win.Â

Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) had 4 kills on 7 attacks.Â
