A walk-off single led Hawks past Olive Harvey College

Box Score Wheeling, IL 4/19/2022: 

The Hawks ended Tuesday night with a walk-off single to fly past Olive Harvey 4-3.

Olive Harvey got the party started in the second inning by scoring first. With the game continuing to go back and forth through the innings we jump ahead, and give you the "really good stuff!" The game was tied at three with Hawks batting in the bottom of the ninth when Tyler Spiecker (Romeoville, IL/Romeoville High School) singled on a 1-2 count, scoring the winning run. Jason Gutkowski (Roselle, IL/Lake Park High School) was credited with the victory for Hawks, on a complete game. The right hander allowed nine hits and three runs over nine innings, striking out two. Ramziel Ortiz took the loss for Olive Harvey. He went eight and a third innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out six.

Game Highlights: 
Michael Budorick (Glenview, IL/Glenbrook South) went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Hawks in hits.  
Hawks didn't commit a single error in the field.
Aidan Teahan (Park Ridge, IL/Maine South High School) had  16 chances in the field, the most on the team.
Olive Harvey College tallied nine hits.

The Hawks are back in action tomorrow against Elgin Community College at Elgin.
