SAAC Night Out at Dave & Buster’s

Schaumburg, IL: The Hawks' Athletic Department brought together student-athletes from every program Wednesday night for a fun-filled evening at Dave & Buster's, hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). The event, held on January 21 from 6–9 PM, offered a night of great food, friendly competition, and team bonding across all Hawk programs.

Athletes enjoyed a buffet-style dinner featuring ribs, chicken wings, mac & cheese, baked beans, cornbread, and fruit before taking to the arcade floor for games and laughter.

From racing and shooting games to billiards and air hockey, the energy and camaraderie were on full display.

Men's cross country and track & field athletes Ryan Golden, Sebastian Welc, and Carter Swearingen went head-to-head in a round of Terminator.
Men's basketball players Jaylen Blakes and Juanta Lewis battled prehistoric creatures in a Jurassic Park-style survival game.
Women's soccer and basketball athletes Lydia Ilc, Xzandria Turner, and Amanda Petric raced each other on motorcycle simulators.
Meanwhile, men's basketball players and wrestlers joined forces at the billiards tables, capping off the night with some light-hearted competition.

This marks the second SAAC-hosted event of the academic year, following the successful Friendsgiving celebration in November. SAAC continues to create opportunities for Harper's student-athletes to connect, celebrate, and strengthen the department's close-knit community beyond the playing field.
