Box Score Harper College Defeated Illinois Valley Community College 4-1

Palatine, IL: Harper  defeated IVCC on October 5th, 2019 by a score of 6-2 and this Saturday was more of the same. 

In the two teams last meeting Harper out shot IVCC 36 to 11 and today was 33 to 2. The pressure was turned on by Oscar Suarez (5 SH), Majeed Hassan (/) (SH 5) and Peyton Myers (/) (SH 4). Jared Urueta knocked in an early goal (13:28) to put up the Hawks 1-0. Later in the half Majeed Hassan (/) put in the Hawks second goal (38:04) for the half. The comfortable 2-0 halftime lead didn't slow down the pace for the Hawks who applied 20 of their 33 total shots in the second half. Oscar Suarez put away two early goals (48:35, 51:54) in the second half to build the Hawks lead to 4-0. 

Harper's goal keepers Estrada and Alfaro didn't see too much action at the net, with only two total saves on the day. IVCC did sneak a late goal (83:55) to finish the match at 4-1.   

Harper is currently ranked 8th and moves forward to host Madison College in the Region IV Semifinals on 10/22 @2:00pm.
