In the first match, Harper lost to Kalamazoo Valley in 3 close sets, 23-25, 21-25, and 23-25. In the first set, there were 9 ties.
In the second set the score was tied only twice and Harper trailed by 2 points for much of the set, but just couldn't close the gap.

Harper College lost to D2 #8 Illinois Central College 13-25, 27-25, 5-25, 14-25
Harper lost the first set 13-25, but came back to win the second set 27-25, mostly behind
Amelia Reiter's (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) 7 kills in the set. It appears Illinois Central didn't appreciate losing a match to Harper College, because in the 3
rd set, their execution was terrific and ICC easily defeated Harper 5-25. The last set was only slightly more competitive as
Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) had 4 kills and a block, and Harper still lost 14-25.
