Harper College lost to D2 #8 Illinois Central College 13-25, 27-25, 5-25, 14-25

Harper lost the first set 13-25, but came back to win the second set 27-25, mostly behind Amelia Reiter's (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) 7 kills in the set.  It appears Illinois Central didn't appreciate losing a match to Harper College, because in the 3rd set, their execution was terrific and ICC easily defeated Harper 5-25.  The last set was only slightly more competitive as Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) had 4 kills and a block, and Harper still lost 14-25.

For the match, Amelia Reiter (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) had 13 kills on 30 swings and 11 digs for a double-double.  Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) was 13-13 serving with 2 aces and Ashley Rothenberg (/Streamwood H.S.) was 12 of 13 serving with 2 aces.  Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) had 13 digs, and 26 assists a double-double as well.  Kayla Agoranos (/Hampshire H.S.) led Harper with 14 digs.

Harper actually hit negative for the match with 27 kills and 34 hitting errors on 138 attack attempts.  ICC plays excellent defense.
