Harper continued playing tough teams at this tournament. This time against "D2 Others receiving votes", Muskegon, Michigan.
Set 1: Harper played well in this first set, hanging in there, trailing 3-5, 7-9, 12-15, 14-17, 16-20 and 17-21. Harper pulled to 20-21, but then missed a crucial serve, rotated, and went on to lose 20-25.

Emma Zeis made her Harper debut and had 3 kills and passed serves well. Ashley Dawson (Rolling Meadows H.S.), playing libero had 4 digs.Â
Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) playing outside hitter added 4 digs.
Set 2:Â Harper was never really in this one, getting behind 9-16 and 10-20 before losing 16-25.Â
Kayla Agoranos (/Hampshire H.S.) did have 3 service aces on 5-5 serving. Ashley Dawson and
Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) each had 4 digs, again.
Set 3: Harper played very well in this set… There were 8 ties until 17-17; But Harper fell behind 17-19 and lost 22-25.Â
Ashley Rothenberg (/Streamwood H.S.) led Harper with 3 kills.Â
Kelsey Bauer (/Palatine H.S.) (Palatine H.S.) back in the lineup had 6 digs.Â
Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) added 5 digs. And
Natalie Asa (/Schaumburg H.S.), also back in the lineup added 4 digs.Â
Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) was 8-8 serving with 2 aces.Â
Kayla Agoranos (/Hampshire H.S.) was 5-5 serving with an ace.
Next match will be AT Madison College on Thursday, 8/29. That will be Harper's first Region 4 and N4C Conference match. Â
Next weekend Harper College will be at College of DuPage's Invitational and will play D3 #4 Rochester and D3 #9 Minnesota State, plus St Clair and Black Hawk College.
