Box Score 2 Harper College lost to St. Ambrose JV (Blue) 20-25, 24-26, 23-25

Harper College started off on the right foot with a 4-0 lead, then missed a serve. Harper continued to execute well, and took a 10-3 lead, then missed a serve. Harper had an 11-4 lead, but gave that lead away very quickly to a 14-14 tie. Harper pulled ahead at 18-15… and of course, missed a serve. St. Ambrose then tied the score at 19-19, and 20-20, before reeling off the final 5 points for a Harper 20-25 loss.Â
Amelia Reiter (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) had 3 kills.Â
Kayla Agoranos (/Hampshire H.S.) playing her more familiar right-side role had 3 kills and 2 rejections. That must have felt good. Harper only had 7 kills in this set, and just 5 assists.Â
Jules Carusiello (/Hersey H.S.) and Natale Asa each had 5 digs.Â
Kathleen Alimorong (/Hoffman Estates H.S.) was 7-9 serving. Harper had just 16 digs in this set.
In the second set, the score was tied at 6-6. Harper found itself behind 12-14, but took the lead at 18-17, and 22-21. But, St. Ambrose came back to tie the score at 23-23 and 24-24 on some exciting rallies, but unfortunately for Harper, the last two points went to St. Ambrose for a 24-26 Harper loss.   Harper had just 5 kills in this set, and 7 hitting errors. Harper had just 2 assists. Perhaps the statistician fell asleep during this exciting set? Might have to review this on videotape!Â

Amelia Reiter (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) had 4 digs for just 16 total digs in this set as well.
In the last set, Harper led 11-8, and 15-14 and 18-15, but St. Ambrose tied the score at 18-18. Harper took a 22-20 lead behind some strong serves from
Kelsey Bauer (/Palatine H.S.). St. Ambrose played tough and tied the score at 23-23, and again won the last 2 points for a 23-25 Harper loss. Harper continued its 'torrid' hitting with another 6 kills and 5 assists. Harper did have 21 digs in this set; playing 6 rotations,
Kayla Agoranos (/Hampshire H.S.) led Harper with 7 of them.

Harper bounced back with a 25-17 win over Spoon River, from Canton, IL.Â
In the first set,
Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) had 7 assists and was 4-6 serving with an ace.Â
Amelia Reiter (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) led Harper with 5 digs.Â
Rugile Jaciunas (/Wheeling H.S.) was 5-5 serving with an ace, and
Rachel Kandefer (/Elk Grove H.S.) was 5-5 serving with 2 aces.
In the second set, Harper won 25-20.Â
Taylor Pfaller (/St. Viator) had 10 assists. Again, a balanced attack with
Amelia Reiter (/Crystal Lake South H.S.) earning 3 kills to lead Harper.Â
