Harper College Women's Basketball team bounced back Thursday night. 

The Hawks showed poise and determination in their thrilling 51-47 comeback victory over College of Lake County on Thursday night. The team trailed by as much as 18 points. Looking for energy, Coach Thomas, found it off the bench in his young freshmen guard Jaysha Roman and seasoned sophomore forward Patricia Wadas (Hoffman Estates).

Romans added 2 steals to her lockdown defense and Wadas snagged 7 boards in her performance. Which contributed to the slow down for Lancers offense. The strong defensive performance allowed Isabella Gebala (Prospect) and Emily Rich (Crystal Lake South) to shine on the offense end of the floor scoring a combined 39 points for the game!

With this win the Hawks are now 2-1 on the young season and holding opponents to only 51 points a game. The Hawks will bring their solid defense up north next week at the Bay College Fall Classic.
