Box Score Rockford, IL 9-18-2021

In a rematch of last year's Spring 2021 Region 4 final, Harper ended up losing in overtime 2-1 to Rock Valley. 

The First half started out well for both teams with Harper having a few more chances on goal but the half ended 0-0. Things quickly changed a minute into the second half. Aaron Bustamante (/Palatine High School) received a nice pass from Tyler Dawson (/Rolling Meadows High School), and was able to finish the right footed shot into the left side of the goal. Giving the Hawks a boost of energy to go along with their 1-0 lead. 

The Hawks boost held strong but Rock Valley was able to keep chipping away, and tie the match with 15 minutes left. The match eneded and went into overtime. The Golden Eagles scored 7 minutes into overtime ending the match. 

Kyle Varela (/Palatine High School) had 8 saves and kept the Hawks in the game.  Coach Watson on the game- "We definitely had our chances and despite the loss, we played our best game of the season."  

The Hawks will be back in action on Wednesday, at HOME, taking on the WolfPack 4pm.
