This was a physical test for the Hawks, and they showed they were ready for the challenge.  

Rock Valley was in search of their first win of the season and came out early trying to set the tempo of the game. Lesly Soto (/William Fremd High School) fought of Golden Eagle shots and secured 6 saves for the Hawks. Mia Perucho (/Elgin High School), Signe Bennett (/Christian liberty academy), and Tessa Horstein were defensive standouts, making it extremely difficult for Rock Valley to get anything going on the RVC attack.

On the offensive side for the Hawks. Genevieve Rendl (/Dundee Crown High School) gave Rock Valley defenders all kinds of trouble, she was not one to be contained.  Gen scurried on a 50 yard dash beating defenders to score a goal.  Gen scores her second hat trick of the season in back to back games. Chip Lemberg expressed his enthusiasm: "As a team we (Harper) continue to get better connecting and creating opportunities, on and off the pitch! We are definitely stepping up our game and ready for the times ahead."  

The Hawks will take on Madison College at HOME this Wednesday - 2 pm in the Stadium.
