Harper at St. Clair County Community College - Port Huron, MI.

The Harper Wrestling team left early Friday morning for the NJCAA Midwest District meet. Coach Loprieno wanted to make "sure everyone was focused and prepared for todays District matches." The Hawks were focused and ready to go throughout the day. 5 out of the 10 wrestlers placed atop of their weight class. But whats even better all 10 wrestlers will be moving on to the NJCAA National Tournament. 

Coach Loprieno was asked a couple questions regarding the District Tournament and he summed it all up in a blanket statement. "I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for all of these great kid's I've had the opportunity to coach. My assistants go above-and-beyond to help this program, and it shows in our production. It's never easy to get through Districts and qualify for Nationals, but we (Harper) got 10 spots going! Our team got here by doing the right things at the right times and our program couldn't do it without the help of Doug, Paige, Jamie, and Steve. We're going to get right back to work and gear-up for a National Run!"
