The NJCAA Region 4 Cross Country Meet delivered an exhilarating display of determination as runners from various colleges converged to compete for regional glory. Under ideal racing conditions, athletes pushed their limits on a mostly flat course with some rolling hills and sharp turns, setting the stage for a memorable day of competition. With both individual and team titles on the line, the stakes were high, and the excitement palpable as the runners crossed the finish line in pursuit of their championship dreams.

The women's race saw a thrilling contest, with Isabella Wojciechowski from Harper taking home the top honors, finishing in 18:55. Her victory was a testament to her hard work and preparation throughout the season. She was also honored as the DIII Region 4 Runner of the Year.

Finishing in second place was Carmen Solis from DuPage, who recorded a time of 19:07. The third spot went to Gabby Zid, from Joliet, rounding out a the top three.

Claudia Wojciechowski also took home All-Region honors as she finished 4th. Natalia Pocica, Roza Puchalski, and Ashley Harrison all contributed season best 5k times as they finished 6th, 8th, and 9th. Their previous best times for the season were 22:07, 23:48, and 23:45.

Coach Jim Macnider earned yet another Region 4 Women's Coach of the Year award, making it his 10th time earning the award.

The women proved their strength in the team competition, securing the overall team championship with just five runners. Their performances highlighted a strong season of dedication and commitment to each other that sets themselves up well for the upcoming national meet.
