Naperville, IL: The Hawks women's track and field team kicked off their 2025 season with a strong showing at the Pat Heenan Invitational, hosted by North Central College. Eight athletes competed for the Hawks, highlighted by personal bests and scoring performances from several team members.

Gale also competed in the 200m, finishing with a time of 28.58. Fellow sophomore Natalia Pocica matched Gale's 7th-place effort, this time in the 400m, running an indoor personal best of 63.24. Lucia Sanchez Scriven rounded out the scoring trio with an 8th-place finish in the triple jump, achieving a mark of 32' 5", just ahead of her previous best from 2024. She also set an indoor personal best of 16' 1.5" in the long jump and cleared 8' 2.5" in the pole vault. All three of her marks met the national 2025 NJCAA National Qualifying standard as well.

Other sophomores contributing to the team effort included throwers
Kasey Ledinsky and Rose Wagner. Ledinsky posted a weight throw mark of 31' 4.5", while Wagner threw 30' 7.75" in the same event and added a shot put mark of 22' 7.25". Sprinter Zoe Pavlu competed in the 60m and 200m, running 9.04 and 30.66, respectively.
