Women’s Track & Field Named USTFCCCA Academic Team of the Year

Palatine, IL: The Harper College women's track and field team has been named the 2025 USTFCCCA NJCAA Women's Track & Field Academic Team of the Year, capping off a season marked by both competitive excellence and outstanding academic achievement.

The award, presented by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), recognizes the top academic program in the NJCAA Division III ranks based on team GPA for the Spring.

In addition to the team honor, six members of the women's team were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes:

To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must hold a spring GPA of 3.40.

On the men's side, 14 student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, showcasing the depth of Harper's commitment to academic and athletic excellence across the board. This marks one of the largest single-season academic honors totals for the program.

"These awards are a testament to the discipline and dedication our student-athletes show every day," said Harper head coach Jim Macnider. "Balancing the demands of a collegiate track and field season with academic responsibilities is no easy task, and I'm proud of how our athletes represent Harper both on the track and in the classroom."

Harper College continues to be a national leader in the NJCAA for student-athlete success, and the track & field program's USTFCCCA honors further reinforce its role as one of the top all-around programs in the country.
