Hawks Set for NJCAA DIII National Championships

Fort Dodge, IA: The Harper women's cross country team is headed to Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa, for the 2025 NJCAA Division III National Championships hosted by Iowa Central Community College this Saturday, November 8. The women's 5k race is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Conditions could play a major factor, with forecasts calling for temperatures near 38 degrees and the potential for freezing rain or snow at race time. Despite the chill, the Hawks will look to cap their season strong with a pair of returning national competitors.

Kasey Ledinsky and Natalia Pocica will represent Harper in this year's championship. Both are coming off strong performances at the Region 4 Championship, where Ledinsky earned All-Region honors and Pocica finished just a step behind. Nationally, the two enter ranked 15th and 19th respectively, putting them firmly in the mix for All-American honors (awarded to the top 15 finishers).

Pocica is seeking to become a two-time All-American, having earned the distinction as a freshman. Ledinsky, who placed 19th nationally last year, will aim to move up into All-American territory in her return to the championship stage.
