Hawks Continue Progress at F. Lee Slick Invite

Naperville, IL: The Hawks women's track and field team competed in their fifth indoor meet of the season at the F. Lee Slick Invitational, hosted by North Central College at the Al B. Carius Track in Naperville. With four athletes in action—Kasey Ledinsky, Valerie Ortega, Lucy Reyna, and Hannah Schulz—the Hawks continued to show steady improvement with multiple personal bests.

Ledinsky had a standout performance in the mile, running a personal best of 5:38.47. Her time not only marked a significant improvement but also placed her 10th all-time in Harper indoor history. She also competed in the shot put, continuing her role as a multi-event contributor.

Ortega had a strong day on the track, setting personal bests in both the 60m and 200m, continuing her upward trajectory in the sprints.

Reyna competed across three events, including the pole vault, 60m, and 200m. She recorded a personal best in the 60m, adding to her growing list of improvements this season.

In the throws, Schulz delivered another impressive performance, setting a personal best in the weight throw while also competing in the shot put, maintaining her consistency as one of the Hawks' top field event athletes.

The Hawks will wrap up their indoor season at the Firebird Finale, hosted by Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on March 6th.
