CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. – In their final tune-up before conference play begins, the Harper College baseball team fell 6-0 to Prairie State College. The Hawks will begin N4C play against Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday.
Prairie State chipped away at Harper starter
Josh Daniels (Elk Grove, Ill., Elk Grove), scoring single runs in each of the first four innings before adding two in the fifth inning to set the final margin. Daniels went six innings in taking the loss.
Tyler Tureck (Barrington, Ill., Barrington) and
Dan Hoppel (Rolling Meadows, Ill., Rolling Meadows) each contributed a scoreless inning in relief.
Dan Duran (Skokie, Ill., Niles West) and
Connor McHugh (Hoffman Estates, Ill., Schaumburg) each had singles early on for the Hawks, but the team was unable to mount any scoring threats.
The Hawks will battle the Stormers in the league opener, their first home game in over a week after seven straight on the road. First pitch is slated for 12:00 PM.
