Harper College Softball lost 9-1 to College of Dupage at COD on Thursday as#11 allowed two hits over five innings.
The Hawks were led by Kaitlyn Keegan's hitting. Keegan went 1-3 and drove in one. She doubled in the fifth inning.
Paige Ward showed good control, allowing no walks. The Hawks' pitcher, pitched four innings, allowing nine earned runs and nine hits while striking out one. College of DuPage increased its lead with two runs in the second. #16 doubled, bringing home #9 to start the inning. College of DuPage added six more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A hit into a fielder's choice scored #9 for the inning's first run. TheHawks' lone run of the ballgame came in the fifth inning on an RBI double by Keegan.
