Harper Softball Earns Five NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Palatine, IL: The Harper softball team continued to excel in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, earning five NJCAA All-Academic selections while several additional Hawks received Region 4 All-Academic recognition.

The NJCAA All-Academic Teams recognize student-athletes who complete at least 24 credit hours during the academic year while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.60 or higher. First Team honors are awarded to student-athletes with a perfect 4.00 GPA, Second Team recognizes GPAs between 3.80 and 3.99, and Third Team honors are awarded to those with GPAs between 3.60 and 3.79.

Meghan Meyer, Jordan Murtaugh, and Taylor Nicholson were named to the NJCAA All-Academic Second Team, while Katherine Cintora and Bella Kmilek earned NJCAA All-Academic Third Team recognition.

Region 4 All-Academic honors are awarded to student-athletes who successfully complete at least 12 credit hours during a semester while maintaining a GPA of 3.00 or higher.

Harper had six student-athletes recognized as Fall Region 4 All-Academic selections: Meyer, Murtaugh, Nicholson, Cintora, Kmilek, and Whitney Schnack.

The Hawks followed with 10 Spring Region 4 All-Academic honorees. Meyer, Murtaugh, Nicholson, Cintora, Kmilek, and Schnack each repeated the honor, while Ariel Guzman, McKenzie Matzl, Gabi Phillis, and Allie Rorer also earned Spring Region 4 All-Academic recognition.

The Hawks' academic achievements reflect the program's commitment to excellence both on the field and in the classroom, with student-athletes earning recognition at the regional and national levels throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
