PALATINE, Ill. - Harper collected six hits, but the Hawks fell 16-3 to Rock Valley at Harper on Saturday.
Amanda Forssander had a hot bat for the Hawks. Forssander went 1-2 and drove in one. She doubled in the third inning.
Amanda Blankenship got the win for Rock Valley. She allowed three runs over five innings. Blankenship struck out seven, walked three and gave up five hits.

Vivi Marquez and
Tara Pyatt combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
The game was never in doubt after the second, as Rock Valley scored two runs on a passed ball and an RBI single by
Katelyn Johnson.
Two runs in the bottom of the third helped Harper close its deficit to 3-2. An RBI double by Forssander and a wild pitch fueled the Hawks' comeback. Finally, Blankenship induced an inning-ending strike out from
Bree Nishibun.
Rock Valley increased its lead with six runs in the fourth. Van Wy singled, bringing home Pyatt to start the inning. That was followed up by Marquez's single, scoring Johnson.
After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fifth, Harper faced just a 9-3 deficit. A fielder's choice set off the Hawks rally. Finally, Blankenship got Nishibun to to end the threat.
